Oh, such a perfect capture, Genie! I love it! Your photos of people in Paris are truly priceless! And the B&W shots are the very best! Enjoy, mon amie! You do have such a wonderful eye for the beauty of Paris! Thank you for sharing it!
I love that girls start communicating at such an early age, would be such fun to know what they are discussing so intently, love this photo Genie it says so, so much!
They have a serious talk, you captured them on the right moment, very good. Boys don't talk at that age I think, they have to run around to get lost of their energy.
I think that Pet posed an interesting question. Could this just be any two little girls, even in Mobile, Alabama, USA? Well, yes. The fact is that children will be children and they were in a group playing that April day just as they might anywhere else in the world. "In the shadow of la Tour Eiffel" was of no matter to them at all.
Perhaps Janey was correct in suggesting that the one with her back to us was pointing out the space where a baby tooth had been previously.
Wouldn't you love to hear their conversation en français. I was not close enough to listen in, but close enough to verify their French language.
I do not know about "secret classes for girls" but these two needed no lessons.
Children at play without a care in the world... the way it should be.
hopped over from a friends blog, because your blog name was intriguing - what can be beyond Paris, I wondered - any way I am glad I did - this picture is priceless! and I love the beautiful picture of Paris - the Sienne?
On a last note, I am a food blogger and have completed 1 year of blogging and have some wonderful giveaways - so do stop by and check it out :) cheers, priya
Typique: Les filles discutent (et sérieusement). Les garçons courrent dans le jardin! ;-) Très mignon. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Oh, how gorgeous. I wonder what they're discussing so seriously and secretively.
ReplyDeleteSo serious! Planning their weekend maybe?? They remind me of my girls chatting together. Cute!
ReplyDeleteKel x
Don't they do the same in Mobile? I wonder.
ReplyDeleteYou caught a wonderful moment here Genie. It does make you wonder what they are nattering about.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to have a very serious conversation. Are they talking about la mode, to which pâtisserie they will go afterwards or already about boys?

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely capture! So very cute.
ReplyDeleteMignon!
ReplyDeleteThey are very much in each other's space, yes. They be sharing 'gossip'.
ReplyDeleteClearly a serious situation going on there! Such a lovely image Genie.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very serious engagement! Love the stance of the girl on the left.
ReplyDeleteOh what a precious shot! The one girl's pose is priceless. Definitely a real Parisienne in the making!
ReplyDeleteAww, it reminds me of Eve and her new Paris BFF Chloe when they met in that little playground. They still right each other! Great capture!

This picture points out one of the glaring faults of the French. Do you see how close they are? They will do the same for the rest of their lives.
ReplyDeletePriceless Genie!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful children. I think the little one with her back to us is showing the other that she lost a tooth...
ReplyDeleteReally serious talk between them Genie.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my blog.

Very nice catch. The little girls talk about what? little boys? :-)
ReplyDeleteCan you not just imagine them 10 years later??
ReplyDeleteThis shot is so perfect that I wish that someone who knows them would see this picture and contact you.
That's girls for you :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting body language. Everything is so serious at that age.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very important conversation.
ReplyDeleteI'd fall over overhearing them, I bet. Youth is wasted on the young? Maybe not.
ReplyDeleteGenie - if you ever decide to paint - this photo would be a perfect painting! I love the way Paris looks to you!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. In those postures, they have to be little girls. Are there secret classes for little girls?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The one with her back facing reminds me of Isabella. I can just picture her doing exactly that...Talking! LOL
ReplyDeleteKris
This is precious, in the very best sense of the word! And universal in its essence, in spite of being taken in the shadow of the Eiffel tower.

Oh, Fábio, I think that they may talk about boys, but probably not these two on this day... Just give them a few years!
ReplyDeleteThe little girl on the left's stance is soooo French, as is her classic little face.
ReplyDelete"So, how do you like the color of my new lipstick?" This is an absolutely precious image!!! B & W rules--
ReplyDeleteI like Janey's scenario too—and the fact that they have no problem with a lack of personal space. Great shot, Genie!
ReplyDeleteDes Pipelettes !
ReplyDeleteTrès belle photo Genie, en plus en noir et blanc !
