Un Chapeau Rose

Walking from our apartment to Jardin des Tuileries is a small boutique of hats. This bright pink with a feather seemed perfectly French to me.

Bon weekend

  8. Such a elegant and dainty hat. The first person to come to mind was Audrey Hepburn.

  9. J'adore le petite chapeau! Fell in love with it last April and now have the perfect dress for it ... but (as some of you have noted) it was très chère! So, I guess I will go to the wedding hatless. Merci for preserving the memory for me -- you captured its charm perfectly!

  10. Perfect hat for a wedding Genie. I see in your window a Panama Hat Femme is 130euros, I bought one yesterday (I love hats) for $35, how does that compare??

  14. What a great hat. It seems especially timely because of the two royal weddings and the hats the ladies have been wearing to attend them. I love this shade of pink! Have a great weekend.

  18. Oooh, very fetching! Too bad Mme. Sarkozy wasn't at either of the recent royal weddings—this might have suited tres bien.

  20. I guess I don't understand womens' hats-- especially if they can double as frisbees-- that being said, it is a nice shot!!

  21. Nice find!
It's like a hat from another era! I can picture on the streets of Paris but not around here. :)

  22. Oui! O la la, this is just perfection, I want to buy a fifties two piece suit and put that hat on and strut.

  24. I don't know, Genie, I have you as a rich red hat kind of girl. Pink is too pale for you/

  25. Oh, yes, when you check out the price of this little number along with the others you will find it to be très cher.

If this hat is bright pink I would claim it, but Jack is right about the red. We do wear hats for certain festivities where I live and our Mardi Gras is almost a hat festival. I have been known to buy a hat (or shoes) and then figure out what will go with it.

Bird, I doubt that they have men's hats here but surely there are many of those shops in Paris. Liz, this one might just fit Tootie! Paul, are those tennis shoes hot pink or lime green?

    Bises,
    Genie
