Comme à la Maison

This (very) petite salon de thé is found nestled in Village Saint Paul, in the Marais. The menu is limited, but delightful, with fresh crisp salads and rich quiches. First suggested by Richard Nahen of Eye Prefer Paris, it is a regular stop for daughter Holly and me. Marie and I enjoyed a refreshing déjeuner in April but passed on and devoured the most delicious chocolat chaud I have ever had.

I will return in cooler weather for another of those!

Bon weekend!

  9. I love the look of this place Genie, some cafes can be a little intimidating, this just oozes welcome! Sometimes I think a small menu is not a bad thing, so long as what there is. is the best! Hope you have a great weekend.

  11. Ma chère amie, you are forgetting ... We didn't pass on the chocolat chaud, we enjoyed it thoroughly! It was the best I have ever had --- something between drinking a warm homemade chocolate pudding or a melted candy bar! I have promised D that I will take him there when next we visit Paris. Bisous, M

  22. They must have lots of these little cafe's everywhere there. And I'm sure the food and beverages are excellent anywhere you go there. I am also sure the aroma's are unreal as well :)

    I'm so jealous.

  35. Goodmorning Genie,

First, thanks a lot for your lovely comments on my Blog! I was here for a lunch in this small and gorgeous petit salon a few months ago. I believe that every stone in Paris is touched by your feet and the light of your camera and smile!
    Nice work my lady..

  37. Wonderful photo, and now I need chocolate.

  38. I think that Marie summed it up quite well. That chocolat chaud is like a hot liquid candy bar with some heavy cream... no calories in that I am sure - hah! (They do not count in Paris)

I have been here in warm weather and cold. In the winter you must get here early as there are few seats inside.
