This (very) petite salon de thé is found nestled in Village Saint Paul, in the Marais. The menu is limited, but delightful, with fresh crisp salads and rich quiches. First suggested by Richard Nahen of Eye Prefer Paris, it is a regular stop for daughter Holly and me. Marie and I enjoyed a refreshing déjeuner in April
I will return in cooler weather for another of those!
Bon weekend!

ReplyDeleteun endroit sympathique
ReplyDeletele tour de France commence dans un endroit très particulier : à voir
You must be the only American person to look at the Tour, and maybe even to know the Tour exists!
ReplyDeleteYour picture could be used for Weekend reflection meme, I see a photographer in the window! :o)
It looks very nice! And I love the pink tables and chairs!
ReplyDeleteThis seems lke my kind of cafe, makes a great pic too, lots of colour...
ReplyDeleteNice to see a cafe in Paris sans glamour. I would stop here in a heartbeat
ReplyDeleteI love the pink and red accents and the photographer's mirrored image engaging with the scene.A perfect doorway to the weekend.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes!
Ruby
I love the look of this place Genie, some cafes can be a little intimidating, this just oozes welcome! Sometimes I think a small menu is not a bad thing, so long as what there is. is the best! Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletepassed on the chocolat chaud? how could you?
ReplyDeleteMa chère amie, you are forgetting ... We didn't pass on the chocolat chaud, we enjoyed it thoroughly! It was the best I have ever had --- something between drinking a warm homemade chocolate pudding or a melted candy bar! I have promised D that I will take him there when next we visit Paris. Bisous, M
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder of Le Tour, I had forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI know this little place very well ! ha ha ;-) (not that I eat the chocolat !! , only the salads)
ReplyDeletea fan of the Tour in the state of Alabama !! the world will never cease to surprise me
I am definitely visiting this place this winter! Thank you for the travel tip.

ReplyDeleteYou know what they say Genie...French women can eat anything they want...it's all about proportions and walking!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very cozy place.
ReplyDeleteI love little places like this. I want to go in. :)
ReplyDeletePerfectly charming! Looks like a very chic clientele—and photographer—too. :~}
ReplyDeleteThey must have lots of these little cafe's everywhere there. And I'm sure the food and beverages are excellent anywhere you go there. I am also sure the aroma's are unreal as well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous.
Nice photos as usual!
Can have a good quiche anytime!
ReplyDeleteSigh -- real men like quiche too!!! Merci beaucoup for sharing your experiences. Aside from the enjoying the images, my senses are always stimulated when I observe your pix and read the captions. Hugs, Stan.
ReplyDeleteEnchanting. Thanks for your comments on my latest post. It was very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThis must be one of those neighborhood gems that only a local would know about. Thanks for sharing this little secret.
ReplyDeleteBon weekend!
Lovely little place. So much charme.
ReplyDeleteIt looks charming. When we were in Paris in April,2009, I had the most delicious hot chocolate. It was much better than anything I'd had before.
ReplyDeleteLooks delightful; a certain rustic charm. Food sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in this Genie - oranges, reds and pinks ( even your jacket) normally they would clash but here it all looks so delightfully Parisian. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming looking place. I love quiche!
ReplyDeleteI stopped in here for lunch during my April 2010 trip. Thanks for the reminder about the Tour de France...
ReplyDeleteOh, I want to go through that doorway!!!
ReplyDeletean inviting cafe there, great picture!

Goodmorning Genie,
ReplyDeleteFirst, thanks a lot for your lovely comments on my Blog! I was here for a lunch in this small and gorgeous petit salon a few months ago. I believe that every stone in Paris is touched by your feet and the light of your camera and smile!
Nice work my lady..
have a nice weekend,
greetz,
Henk.
A very inviting destination, neat reflections!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo, and now I need chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI think that Marie summed it up quite well. That chocolat chaud is like a hot liquid candy bar with some heavy cream... no calories in that I am sure - hah! (They do not count in Paris)
ReplyDeleteI have been here in warm weather and cold. In the winter you must get here early as there are few seats inside.

Little "out-of-the way places are the best!
