Ces yeux bleus
The blue eyes on this French house cat captured my attention, and it would appear that there was something about me that piqued his interest as well.Perhaps he was feeling guilty that he and his friend had smoked all of those cigarettes. Hummmm....
Oh, I love it! What a beautiful cat, with such lovely eyes! Smoking all those cigarettes could definitely account for his expression! Fun capture for the day! Enjoy your day/evening, mon amie! Always a delight to visit your blog!

Good shot! :)
ReplyDeleteCats and cacti; a curious combination. They really are beautiful. What a shame they have such a stinky cigarette habit.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe they were thinking: "Woaw! this charming lady smells so good! what a strange perfume.. flowers, sweet flagrance?.. what a change after cigarettes!" :o))
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely charming they are...their facial expressions are priceless! At least their owners smoke en plein air, non?!?!? (^_^)
ReplyDeleteMust have been another quick pic, Genie. Animals don't usually stay still too long, especially when someone has a camera
ReplyDeleteA wonderful meeting! How lucky you are!
ReplyDeleteThese kitties are adorable, my favorite subject of pictures! :)
purrs and love
Luna and hugs from mommy Léia
Those expressions are priceless, Genie. *Sigh*
ReplyDeleteGreat pics today Genie. I love! x
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the cats are trying to protect the cigarette butts from you!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a very french cat to me. How can that be? Wonderful capture.
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrfect!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love your commentary too. :)
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha! Smile.
ReplyDeleteThose cats are certainly interested in you! Today's French 'word of the day' is sourcils (eyebrows) in keeping with the theme of eyes.
ReplyDeleteLes chats are definitely giving you the blue eyes Genie!! Gorgeous I love cats!
ReplyDeleteTrès mignon! I love how cats will pose for you!

Terrific, Genie. I love the contrasting colors and postures of these two alert cats. Your observation about the butts made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteHahaha... very smart cats, Genie! And they understand house rules!
ReplyDeleteThe shot is very nice and funny.
ReplyDeleteBut I see not the guilt in their eyes, but the determination to continue smoking :)
At least they're not allowed to smoke in the house! Clearly they have run out of ciggies and are wondering if they could bum one from you.
ReplyDeleteHaha - they do have a guilty look. What a priceless photo.
ReplyDeleteLike two nosy neighbors keeping their eyes on that American on their street. I absolutely love this photograph, Genie! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least we can say that they were smoking outside. I love to take photos of animals and pets, particularly ones that understand French when spoken to. These two are obviously pets who did not scatter when I appeared with the camera + lens.
ReplyDeleteThese two were definitely alert to the strange photographer, but I believe that animals have an internal radar about people. They knew me to be a cat lover and posed no harm, only a mild disturbance in their day.
Merci for your considerate comments. I am consumed with work at the moment but am visiting your sites as I can. Bises...
Je trouve fabuleuse l'attitude de ces minous!
ReplyDeleteOn sent l'indépendance dans le regard!...
Gros bisous.
I love cats!! Unfortunately I´m allergic to them.
ReplyDeleteLove the gray tones against the red flower pots. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pair of cuties!
ReplyDeleteouhn, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIls sont superbes tous les deux, mais le premier a des yeux "couleur lagune" comme ceux de mon Tadzio !

They are so cute! It's a shame about his smoking habit. :)
ReplyDeleteI am new to your site and still have to catch up on all of your blogs. Since I started reading the other week what you are doing is fantastic. I sure you enjoyed lot.
ReplyDeleteThese two certainly are fascinated with you. Interesting that almost all the pots are red.
ReplyDeleteOh, you just make me SMILE, Genie - thank you for sharing! I love the looks on their little faces - the orange pots - and of course the overflowing ashtray!
