In April, Marie and I enjoyed a delightful and leisurely déjeuner with Peter at Le Moulin de la Galette. We spent the day strolling the streets of Montmartre and found the back courtyard a beautiful respite from the tourists of Place du Tertre.
I wish that I had one or two of these glasses. Hummmmm, must go back.
Bon weekend!

ReplyDeleteTres Parisian. x
ReplyDeleteI am waiting every day to read about all the WILD things you did and do while in Paris :-) this one is another beautiful example. Bon weekend à toi aussi.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and your friend Marie have a lovely time in Paris Genie. What a coincidence that one of my best friends is called Marie and she is French and we did have a lovely time in Paris a few years ago!! Sounds like we both know a good friend when we meet one huh!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Best wishes
Grace
Lovely picture Genie. You have such fun in Paris. A spot to get away from the tourists is always welcome in my plans.
ReplyDeleteSam
I also like the coupe à champagne...
ReplyDeleteI like a lot this picture and also the idea behind! Santé!
ReplyDeleteLéia
This area of Paris is just so.. unique and full of history - I love "Moulin de la Galette" Have a wonderful week-end Genie.xx
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty glasses and I always love champagne! Thanks for the hit of Paris.
ReplyDeleteLe Moulin bleu et jaune. Très chic.
ReplyDeleteYou always find the most interesting places, Genie.
I am smiling today --perhaps we drank from the same glass. It was a lovely treat. x
ReplyDeleteDelightful post, Genie, as always and a fun, lovely way to start my day! Wish I was there!! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
I suppose you get the pretty glass when you order water, which we never do. Pass me a coupe svp!:)
ReplyDeleteIt was too chilly and rainy when we dined here so we didn't get to experience the charming courtyard, must go back!

Our paths have not crossed as of late...with school and the end of the year testing I have hardly had a free moment. Maybe now I can get caught up on my visiting and commenting. Looking at this glass reminds me of so many neat ones I saw traveling in Europe. I would ask for some, but it was always a problem getting them into my bag for the return home. This is a great shot and love that reflection. You really have a good eye. Hope all is well and you are going to have a wonderful weekend. I certainly am! Hugs form the Other Genie
ReplyDeleteI'll take the glass in the background, s'il vous plait!
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely reflection!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you focus in on the details! As you know, I'm not above some petty pilfering in Paris, but have also found that if you smile sweetly and ask if you can buy something like this, they sometimes give it to you. And who would say no to you, Genie?
ReplyDeleteAnother over 100 day finds me looking at this photo and remembering the refreshing, quenching coolness of the water in that lovely glass. The champagne was also a cool, delightful treat. And, of course, the delicious lunch, wonderful company and exquisite courtyard just topped it off! You wrap it all up in this lovely reflection. Bises, Marie
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a famous place. Was M. Lautrec in the corner? And am I to understand that this glass didn't find its way into your bag? Genie!
ReplyDeleteNow that looks refreshing!
ReplyDeleteAnn -- Merci!
ReplyDeletePierre -- Merci, mon ami
Jilly -- It was quite refreshing on a lovely April day
Diane -- It was Parisian and just about perfect
anni -- Well there are not too many wild things but we do laugh until our sides hurt -- lots of fun and some serious photography
Grace -- Marie comments often and is a wonderful friend. We have had two great trips to Paris (so far) Merci!
Sam -- Yes, and we never see ourselves as tourists - hah! We do try to blend in and not be conspicuous. Merci, glad you like it.
Vreni -- Ah, yes, the champagne... plenty for everyone!
Léia -- Merci, mes amis!
A stylish, enchanting glass! Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteDianne -- This was my first trip there and not sure that I would have gone if not for Peter's suggestion.
ReplyDeleteJill -- The wine glasses were a light purple and added to the colors... merci!
Bear -- I give Peter full credit for this one, but I did take the most photos.
Suzi -- Oh, I wish that you had been there with us... we just missed each other!
Sylvia -- Merci, and I hope that you have a lovely weekend as well.
Virginia -- There is always a reason to return, n'est-ce pas?
Malyss -- Merci, and the same to you, my friend
AA -- I must return because my "stream of pictures" will eventually run out
Stan -- Many thanks
James -- You have probably been there as well. Merci
Ruby -- I hope that yours is sunny and art-ful
Genie -- Hah, I have the same problem in returning home with my treasures. Wouldn't it be a wonderful memory to drink out of this every day.
Starman -- The one with champagne? Bien sûr!
LauraX -- Merci, and thank you for visiting my blog
Alexa -- I know, and did not know how much I loved this glass and its design until I looked at the photos later... must return!
Marie -- It was a perfect day spent in wonderful company with you and Peter!
Jack -- It was lovely, and there was even a courtyard chat. Regrettably, no... no such glass for me.
Very fun - very chic.
ReplyDeleteMeri -- Thank you for your visit and comments... come back soon, mon amie.
ReplyDeleteStill a lot of water in the bottle! Champagne comes first, especially in nice company!
ReplyDeletePeter -- And the company was especially delightful. It was a fun day and we soaked up every drop of it (and the champagne, bien sûr!)
