No matter how many times I see pictures, this sight never fails to take my breath away and brings me memories of the day I saw it while in Paris! Thanks for the beautiful memories, Genie!! Superb capture! Hope you've had a wonderful weekend, mon amie!
Sigh -- c'est magnifique! Excellent framing/composition - love the angle to emphasize the upward sweep of the structure. Don't know how you manage to get such great shots day in and day out. Paris is such a grand city- must be great setting out on each shoot. Hugs, Stan
To all -- For most of you who commented today you have either seen this beautiful lady named La Tour Eiffel or you have dreamed of doing so. Some of you comment because you like the composition or to be kind since I am such a Paris nut. Thank you all! Or, as we say in the South, thanks to "all y'all" bunches!
Carol, enjoy your trip to Paris with your granddaughter!
Jill, thank you for your comments and for letting me know that you stopped by.
Starman, I look forward to visiting your blog while you are there
Jack, the next time I am there I will pick one up for you as they are only "one Euro!"
Because the tower has become such an icon, it's interesting to note some of the initial resistance and reaction to it when it was first constructed. Wonder how these people would feel about it today?! Great shot and the foliage certainly does dress it up!
Isn't there a song or a movie about springtime in Paris? This beautiful shot should be part of the song!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine image of la tour!
ReplyDeleteI saw "Midnight in Paris" yesterday—and thank you for feeding my nostalgia some more with this perfectly framed shot!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a perfect shot Genie! You've reminded me why Spring is my favourite season. Those flowers framing the tower are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteShe´s beautiful the whole year through! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of pictures of the Tower...but did never really take any myself, did not even want to try - you are a great photographer
ReplyDeleteThe Tower is The tower, but surrounded with beautyful flowers, what a perfect postcard for romantic poeple!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. She's stunning, Genie.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of an Icon. Have visited it twice but never climbed it. The queues have always been too long while the rest of Paris beckoned.
ReplyDeleteshe looks marvelous in her spring cloak, genie!
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking of you next week while I am there!
ReplyDeleteNow that is just too gorgeous Genie, Spring captured perfectly, oh how I would love to be in Paris in the Spring time.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Grace
I like the angle too.

ReplyDeleteSylvia
She looks particularly lovely in Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture. I never get tired of seeing the Eiffel Tower.
ReplyDeleteIt is currently warmer in Paris than it was the entire summer of 2008. Wonder what it will be like in three weeks?
ReplyDeleteI have almost this exact shot only in November...yours is much better with the greenery and flowers rather than the bare brown trees!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see.
ReplyDeleteA classically beautiful shot of a classic beauty.
ReplyDeleteBravo!

Virginia, me too!
I remember seeing La Tour Eiffel en printemps, il y a vingt ans. A truly impressive structure.
ReplyDeleteBear -- I think that she is ageless and that Eiffel's girl still provides a visual treasure a century later. merci
