As you know by now, I love the cafés of Paris, the thought of dining on les terrasses. This one we passed each day, not far from the apartment. I wish I was there right now and we could fill these seats, enjoying a coffee among friends.
Le Royal Opéra
19, avenue de l'Opéra
Métro Pyramides
Perfect ! x
Me,too. It was too chilly when I was there to sit on the terraces, but I shall return!!
ReplyDeleteCan I join you? I´ll take the French breakfast.
ReplyDeleteFunny that it's written in english, "breakfast" and not "petit dejeuner"..To sit on terrasse, watching people passing by while having a drink is one of the good moments of life!
ReplyDeleteI also notice the menu is in english. Genie are you sure you are in Paris?
ReplyDeleteI'm already there!
ReplyDeleteRx.
Genie, I'll join you there in just a few weeks ... cafe au lait avec un croissant -- miam, miam -- sure beats the cereal and blueberries I'm having right now!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was there, too, lingering among the luxury of time slowed, savory sunlight, and petit pastries. Have a bella day ~ xox Alexandra
ReplyDeleteAnd we would all like to join you there!
ReplyDeleteA real chocolate croissant sounds fantastic right about now! (Even if I avoided them like crazy when I lived there--how else to fit into the French clothes?!) :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems it could be nowhere but Paris. A photo made perfect by that little menu. The cafes and bars in France really do speak to us of what France is all about.
ReplyDeleteI'd gladly join you there!
ReplyDeleteYou have many people who would like to join you there!
ReplyDeleteCount me in! I'd love to be sitting there on a nice sunny day.
ReplyDeleteNice composition, Genie!
ReplyDeleteA party for bloggers! Sounds perfect, especially in Paris.
ReplyDeleteSave me a seat, I'm on my way! Love these woven chairs, it is so Paris just as Jilly said.

I love siting on the terraces as well, and I'm happy that Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteLéia

Bisous et à bientôt, Genie****
What a perfect shot. I would love to be sitting there too - eating a chocolate-filled crepe :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot, Genie! Count me in—but If all your blogpals show up, we'll need these chairs and many, many more!
ReplyDeleteThose chairs look like they've had some use.
ReplyDeleteYes ! Un café crème et un croissant for me please ! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuzi -- Merci, mon amie
ReplyDeleteRichard -- Merci, et certainement la magie opérera... bonne journée à toi, R
Bibi -- The trick is to find one where there are other people (body warmth) and the heaters
Vreni -- Most assuredly... I would be delighted!
Malyss -- This is in the 1er arr. and appeared to have many locals... I cannot imagine that it is chic to write the menu en anglais...
Andy -- You are funny... I wish I was "in" Paris right now
R -- In my dreams, I am also!
Marie -- Yes, we will be there, at least walking by several times each day...
Alexandra -- Café life is just about perfect... agreed!
Jojo -- My friend, you are cordially invited to come!
AA -- I always have grand plans to eat my way through Paris but rarely can consume as much as I had dreamed (good thing, too!)
Jilly -- I think that is why I take so many photos of the cafés... lingering over coffee at Starbucks just does not get it for me - hah!
Nathalie -- Wonderful, alons-y!
Elizabeth -- That's fabulous and there is room for all.
Harriet -- You bring the sunny day with you and come on!
JM -- Merci, mon ami
Tammy -- Yes, it would be and where else but Paris!
Virginia -- Oh, you know that I would reserve a seat pour toi!
Léia -- Spring is on its way and we had better get there early in order to have enough room for everyone!
Karena -- Merci... I do too and just do not get that opportunity very often...
Mary Ann -- Merci, April in Paris should be just about perfect, mon amie.
EG -- I think that if we all come, and why not, that we would be the subject of people watching - hah!
Cildemer -- Merci, I would too, my dear.
Loree -- I think that we are all feeling the pull of spring and outdoor settings... I'll order you a crêpe... Nutella?
Alexa -- How fun would that be! We'll drag all of the chairs together... It is a very large terrasse with a huge red awning
Starman -- Lots of use... join us?
o2 -- Let's have a whole basket of croissants!
No time like the present. Let's sit down and start telling tall tales.
ReplyDeletethis photo looks absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThere looks like enough seating for all of us bloggers! Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteJack -- I think that we could really tell some!
ReplyDeleteOlga -- Merci... glad that you like it!
Randy -- You're right and if we get a crowd, we'll just pull up a few more chairs!
Ah yes! We passed this everytime we walked to the Monoprix. Wouldn't it be great to be there now?
ReplyDeleteI'll have ze french one, bien sur! But I have to admit being shocked by the hefty price.
ReplyDeleteJames -- Yes, it would be a great time... Wish I could get there quickly
ReplyDeleteRob and Mandy -- Yes, quite a hefty price on ze french one - hah! I think that we would go for drinks and then have everybody to our apartment for un apéritif... alons-y!
I can't wait to sit outside and have a coffee in the sun again! Roll on spring!
