I remember such scenes when I was last in France for Christmas - just gorgeous.
Genie are you there at the moment? My fave things in Paris this time of year are the Galeries Lafayette windows, they all take their children to see! And the florists - Oh those beautiful shops and the fresh perfume of pines and such like.
I wish I could join you, but we are sailing the boat north on the 21st or 22nd December..... Such a lovely post - thank you Genie - more, more please!!! hugs Shane
Women are so smart except when it comes to keeping warm. Have you noticed that the mother has dressed her child much warmer than herself? Genie... you got a couple of nice photos.
So you answered my question from yesterday. How adorable. I love to see the wee ones all zipped up in the plastic enclosures in their strollers. Always makes me think of the warnings on the zippered blanket sacs that say "This is not a toy, keep away from children"!
Laurent says snow today in paris. Can't wait to hear if you arrived safely and on time. Bonne chance. xx V
Great shots..the little guy is a trooper! Transporting things home does get a bit tricky here, I stashed our tree in the rolling caddy. Hope you enjoy your stay. It is not usually this cold so bundle up and stay warm...and drink penty of chocolat chaud! Bon journée, Mimi
Funny catch! I only hope that she has not to take the subway! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in Paris, Genie and Holly. Wrap up warm and tell the cold weather to go away!
ReplyDeleteWow...I was hunting for the kid under that tree, but see there's no child. I used to just pick a small tree and carry it home!

I'm sure he's all too willing to give up his ride for the sapin de Noel! Great catch, Genie, and have a wonderful time in Paris with Holly.
ReplyDeleteOh Genie! This post is so sweet. I love what you've done here; it's very funny.

To all -- Nous sommes ici a Paris! Cold, but not miserable... how could you be so in Paris...
ReplyDeleteThere was plenty of snow at the airport and we are off to search for more.
Listening to the bells of Saint-Roch as I type. OMG, I love Paris and just have the grins... somewhere between laughing and getting a little misty.
Hugs to all, more to come!
Bises,
Genie
Now that is improvising! I'm also guessing the little child is more than pleased to give up his seat for the tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy traveling Genie!!!
ReplyDeleteTee hee :) Poor little guy.

ReplyDeleteBon journée,
Mimi
I've seen those carriages used in so many interesting ways. As cold as it is now, it's going to get even colder. Don't forget your long-johns.
ReplyDeleteHere's something you might want to check out while you're there: http://parisbymouth.com/paris-wine-tastings-for-the-weekend-of-december-3-5/
ReplyDeleteOh I want that tree! It's so cute. Wonderful shots Genie. Enjoy your Friday!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.... Just the way it was.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you get close to real life.
( Sorry, can`t think out how to say it in English.)
O that is a charming shot.
