Three Paris landmarks

From this perspective it seems that you could almost reach out and touch the obelisk... and perhaps the Grand Palais.

  5. What a lineup! I think I know where you were, but did you ride la grande roue?

  6. Malyss -- I was standing on the terrasse at the west end of Tuileries. The telephoto lens distorts the distances as I had to look at a map to be sure that it really was Grand Palais

Chieftess -- There was nice lighting that day... merci

Marie -- It would be fun to ride but it was soooo cold on the ground that we did not ride. Also, the visibility was low most of the days we were there

Starman -- I am no chicken but will have to take "the ride" on my next visit!

Alexa -- Yes, when you are standing on the terrace at the top of the steps, it is a great vantage point for photos... We had intentions of riding but for me it would have been for the photo ops...

  8. Great minds think alike! Sort of. My post yesterday was taken in the same area but we managed not to capture any of the same things. :)

    Awesome shot by the way!
