Passerelle Simone-de Beauvoir
A few lonely walkers on the passerelle between le Parc de Bercy
and Bibliothéque Nationale de France.
Constructed of steel and installed in 2006,
it is known by Parisians as la lentille (the lentil).
It is an impressive work of art and a marvel of design:
The center span crosses the river without
external support.
Passerelle Simone-de-Beauvoir
75012, Paris
Interesting and exiting design. I like that.
ReplyDeleteReally, I don't mind walking on this path, better than our 40 degree here in KL.
ReplyDeleteQuite an impressive bridge!
ReplyDeleteThe architect of the Bridge is Austrian!
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo a lot, it plays so well to the grace of the architectural design.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful studio on light, curved lines and perspective. The person under the umbrella seems to be a main character of a novel. I like this one very very much. Thanks a lot Genie!
ReplyDeleteTrès belle, je ne la connaissais pas.Merci !
ReplyDeleteI really like this image. It has good light and dark structure, interesting lines, conveys the feeling of motion through the figures, and transmits well the feeling of this part of Paris. I walked across this bridge on New Year's Day and this image instantly invoked the feeling I had that day in this spot.
ReplyDeleteChapeau!!!
