Jardin des Tuileries - Fermé

Jardin des Tuileries

The gates were closed for a few days
and the emptiness beyond was absolutely eerie.

  1. Just sometimes we all need to shut the world out for a little while. As long as when we do we come back with a smile for all to see.

  2. Oh my goodness Genie I didn't realise you were in Paris at that time, so happy to see you safely back here. It would have felt very disconcerting to see all the public gardens closed. I know how much you love Paris.. I'm sure there isn't anything that will change that. Everything else OK?

  3. The times are still eerie here, from Paris to Brussels now, a locked city for days already.

  4. Here I see the countries that love the peace, going together with France to stop the cause of 13-N. First they closed doors. On the other hand, for me, it symbolizes your worried friends beside you Genie.

I like the symmetry and perspective, and the message with it's iron strength: "You, stop here".

I completely agree with you Joe. Thanks for reminding me to do so.
May the peace be with you all.

  6. I'm remembering being here just four months ago; there were thousands of people enjoying the garden that day. This photo speaks volumes.
