Protestant Lutheran Church Saint-Jean
Sitting on rue de Grenelle with a lovely garden,
a brisk walker might even pass it by.
In the spring the emerging green leaves and subtle shadows
bring life to a redwood, a birch, a sycamore, and a lime.
It looks like a storybook scene.

Black and White making it a little mysterious !
ReplyDeleteSuch an inviting entrance!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene and I love how you describe it in color yet the photo is black and white. So creative.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured simple elegance in this one.
ReplyDeleteHow enchanting. You're right -- it does look like a fairy tale and the b/w is the perfect treatment.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect of looking at the steeple through the delicate branches. It appears that the leaves are just beginning to form, but I can't be sure. Love this one in b&w.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty, but also understated, as you'd expect out of a Lutheran church.
ReplyDeleteHarriet, the trees are just beginning to bloom with the brightest chartreuse shades seen in nature. Merci beaucoup.
ReplyDeleteLisa, I appreciate your comment, an artists view.
Jerry, thank you kindly for the link.
Revrunner, I have not ever been inside but put it on my list as I would love to see the interior architecture, the "bones" of this church.
To all, may you have a productive, good week ahead!
Bises,
Genie
Love the way my eye is led right up that path to the church. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. This little church would be an easy one to overlook in the visual overload of Paris.
