A grandmother and
three grandchildren
At the first hour of the opening day of Niki de Saint Phalle exhibit
at Grand Palais, we happened upon this petite grandmother
with her three grandchildren.
We first encountered them outside the entrance
patiently waiting for the doors to open.
It was not a hurried run through the exhibit,
but a lingering enjoyment over the sculptures and paintings.

So nice to see children enjoying art, AND enjoying the presence of an older relative!

They all look so intrigued Genie. So nice to see.
ReplyDeleteBudding artists.
ReplyDeleteI find myself wondering how they're seeing it through their perspective.
ReplyDeleteThese children impressed me too and I've thought about them more than once—in fact, pretty much every time I see kids who don't have a clue about how to behave.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an interesting exhibit.
ReplyDeleteGrandma, don't let them touch the art!
ReplyDeleteJanis, you are right, and how wonderful that they are getting exposed to museums and art. As Alexa noted, they were inquisitive and incredibly well-behaved!
ReplyDeleteThe exhibit was quite interesting, and yes, ne touche pas!

C'était encore un peu l'été et on voit tout de suite qu'il ne viennent pas du neuf trois.
ReplyDeleteWell educated children from a well-to-do family, you can tell that just by the way they're dressed.
ReplyDeleteThey are lucky to have a grandma who takes them see such exhibits. I'd like to see more lucky children in this world...
