After a full day in Paris
this is my preferred evening meal along with fresh fruit.
And, yes, that is a very large slab of amazing French butter.
After a recount of the day's adventures
over this simple but delicious repas,
it is back out to capture the night scenes with our cameras.
When you are walking over 20,000 steps a day,
the French butter and baguettes do not "stick on you" for long.
miam-miam!

On reconnait le Morbier, et peut-être aussi un Ossau Iraty ? Comme vin un Bordeaux, et un Bourgogne Blanc ? Ce n'est pas un mauvais choix.
ReplyDelete10,000 steps? !!! Perhaps you are centipedes ...? (In step 2000 I get a heart attack!). Everything looks delicious. I'm sure the best is the company and the conversation.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for sharing !!
(Genie, I missed your delicious "Yum-yumm" which always makes me laugh!)
I mean, 20,000 steps a day !! , Sure your shoes are 4X4, "off-road and all terrain" - If one day I walk with you, I will take my inflatable bike in my backpack!!
ReplyDeleteMiam-miam! Truly the perfect way to end the day!
ReplyDeleteWell, that would be my idea any day of the week. Baguette and cheese and I'm a happy girl! And that is a lot of steps!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect end-of-a-Paris-day meal—and a fitting reward for all those steps. Miam. I miss it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty fine looking lunch, except maybe I would replace the butter with olive oil. And, 20,000 steps? That is terrific. It is good and good for you.
ReplyDeleteYummy, Genie!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd substitute the wine for tea, but the rest looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteMiam! That looks perfect! You sound like me when it comes to walking and eating in Paris.
ReplyDeleteMy wife can never keep up with me in Paris. I'm out taking pictures before she wakes up and after she goes to sleep. :-)
Oh that looks like heaven.
ReplyDeleteMerci, Alain. C'était un bon repas! Tu connais le vin Pineau des Charentes?
ReplyDeleteDanar O - I do like to ride the Vélibs in Paris, but it is not possible to take photos while riding. It is best to get quickly from one place to another and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Oh, and I just added the "miam-miam" which has a special meaning for me....
William, we always enjoy some tea as well (not at the same time)
Jack, surely you have had the French butter? I do love fine olive oil, but that would just not be right on a baguette in Paris.
Thanks to all!
Bises,
Genie
Perfect, and definitely the real butter. Like you Genie, Aimee and I walked the streets of Paris, we enjoyed every gourmet delight Paris had to offer and still arrived home 5kilos lighter than when we left..best visit ever!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
ReplyDeleteApt and fitting , what more do you want , when in Paris.
