Square Jean XXIII - dans un cadre

Square Jean XXIII

The elm trees above and the line of shrubbery below
make this lovely square into a vignette.

Do you know this quiet,
shady spot on the east side of Notre Dame?

  3. Hello Genie,

This is such a gentle composition. The framing is delightful and one just wishes to be in that cooling calm of the fountain and trees.

It is so wonderful that one can find all manner of peaceful spots in even the most frantic of cities. Time to sit, stare and listen to the gentle splash of water. Bliss!

  4. What I'm beginning to wonder about is that photographer lurking there in the shadows! ;-)

  5. The two jets of water also help frame the scene!

  6. It's been one of my fave spots in Paris for almost 50 years (!). I love the light and shadow in your vignette, Genie.

  7. It has a different feeling in the winter, perhaps less cozy, but striking all the same.

Revrunner, oh, I see him. I thought you meant moi!

Halcyon, I should have mentioned the fountain. Thanks.

Alexa, you must have been there as an infant!

Joe, put it on your list!

    Bises,
    Genie
