Rain provides so many different photographic opportunities Genie and you have captured this moment perfectly. I find I look passed the obvious and into the reflections when it is raining. I think you do too. The camera has trained our eyes to look beyond what is in front of us. Keep the great shots coming.
There is always something very appealing, or so we think, about rain washed streets and the grey which usually accompanies them. That said, best observed from the shelter of an umbrella.
Sorry that the rain interfered with your time in Paris, but this scene is beautiful to me.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo.. So peaceful.

ReplyDeleteHello Genie:

Bien malaquais ne profite jamais.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. Rendering it in black and white really accomplishes that.
ReplyDeleteI've been on that exact street. My husband has a video of our travels. I love the way it looks on this day in black and white. Very fitting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot -- but this is where I slipped on another rainy day and broke two (count 'em, two!) cameras. :-(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love shots in the rain.
