Boulangerie St. Antoine
The window was filled with tempting pastries,
but we opted for baguettes for our spring soirée.
I seem to remember pinching the end off of one before we left the street.
The reflections set the scene here in the heart of the Marais.
bon weekend
Boulangerie St. Antoine
29, Rue Saint Antoine
75004, Paris
I would be inside within ten seconds.
ReplyDeleteLe "T" de Gaëtan est-il tombé dans le pétrin ?
ReplyDeleteHello Genie,
ReplyDeleteBakeries are definitely a weakness of ours. We simply cannot resist and yes, like you, we should have barely managed to pay for our purchase before we had consumed at least a part of it!
This is such an intriguing photograph with the reflections in the shop window. It reminds us of the work of the photorealistic painter, Richard Estes, whose work confuses as well as delights by its use of reflections.
What does La Parisse mean? I looked it up on translation and it said the parisse. So I looked it up in the dictionary and it said no definition. Nice reflections in the window too.
ReplyDeleteAnd another nice "reflection" on Paris.
ReplyDeleteWe will be picking up our baguettes this afternoon, and cannot even leave the store without nibbling on the ends.
ReplyDeleteWarm, crispy baguette ends ... Miam-miam! Love the reflections!
ReplyDeleteMiam! They say you can get anything here in NYC—but only in Paris can you find a "real" baguette. (Maybe it's just as well ...)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting hungry, and a baguette would work just fine!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy.
