Palais Royal
-the shadow-
The shop was closed,
but in a blink of an eye
the shadow moved.
How can that be?
Surely it is just the reflection of trees,
or a cloud passing in front of the winter sun,
or.... un fântome?
Palais Royal
75001, Paris
The phantom of the iron bodice seen in Paris for sure Genie.
ReplyDeleteBelphégor ?
ReplyDeleteHello Genie:
ReplyDeleteFor us the appeal here is of the connections to be made between the metalwork of the bodice, the chains, the railings and the tracery of the trees. Such combinations.
I have an antique dress form exactly like the one in your picture. On the other side of the planet, the very same dress form. Isn't that interesting?
ReplyDeleteOoo Genie... this sounds like the start of a very gripping novel! Lovely image :-) JJ
ReplyDeleteChain mail. :-)
ReplyDeleteUn fantôme dragging chains in the night .... Beautiful composition!
ReplyDeleteAlain, Belphégor, le fantôme du Louvre? 1927, 1965, ou 2001?
ReplyDeleteAn interesting way to hang lockets, certainly.
ReplyDeleteIt was the ghost of Mad Madeleine Laroque, who died thirteen years ago today...
I saw it too. Good to know it wasn't just me. :~}
ReplyDeleteThe colors make this photo. The eye catching blue, the wall the shadow is cast upon and the necklaces dangling in the light and the black and white floor. Genie, this is a show stopper.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me nervous, Genie . . .
ReplyDeleteTamera, that is amazing, and wouldn't you love to know how they landed in two spots separated by oceans and miles?
ReplyDeleteWilliam, I did not know of that anniversary, but it did just give me a chill...
It is interesting how a single photo can evoke the feelings of ghosts, fântomes, and spirits.
Bises,
Genie
