little boy and his bicycle
riding uphill on the uneven cobblestones of Rue Mouffetard...
This is a challenging venue for learning how to ride a two-wheeled bike.
On this Sunday afternoon,
it was likely that they were headed to Luxembourg Garden
with the soft chalky-dirt paths,
perfect for a little one to practice the art of "balance."

Such a fun, cute shot, Genie!! Reminds me of when my four were little and learning to ride!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis little fellow is doing well - going up this particular street can be awkward even with shoes on! I can imagine most children from around my area kicking up a fuss if they had to scoot up Rue Mouffetard on 2 wheels. And it can't have been easy for the accompanying adult too!!
ReplyDeleteI trust you had a lovely St Valentine's day. Bisous
Such a cute photo! Being a parent in Paris is such a different experience (and being a child is, as well)!! Bon weekend!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. I see a lot of little kids riding wooden bicycles around here. They don't have pedals and they don't use training wheels any more; they just have the bikes low enough for the kids to push the ground with their feet. They way they learn to balance and get used that tippy feeling.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good slice of life image, Genie!
ReplyDeleteHe's awfully little to be riding a two-wheeler. Hope his maman has a strong back. :~}
ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot.
