Moules or mussels?
As fond as I am of the handwritten chalkboard menus of Paris, this one leaves me cold. The English translation combined with the perfect lettering abandons the charm of the handwritten French.
What do you think?

Not sure Genie, but I wouldn't eat any mussels. Just the french fries!
ReplyDeleteAgree ... But I still want to eat them :)
ReplyDeleteNo arguments on the graphic style but all of them look just delicious!
ReplyDeleteAnglais et français; c'est très bien! Les langues mondial.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs.
call them what you want-they are delicious.
ReplyDeleteI agree. In Franc I always worry that if a restaurant speaks English, it's likely to be for tourists. We certainly found that to be the case in Arles where the restaurant looked just like a Van Gogh painting. The food was piled high on the plate and wasn't very good - too Americanized.

ReplyDeleteI'm with Duncan on this one... just the fries!
ReplyDeleteGee, I just finished saying on the last post that I don't like oysters and here I am saying I don't like mussels, either. I'm really not that fussy about food . . .
ReplyDeleteI can't believe these fools who won't eat moules. Maybe they should just stay in the US where they don't have to try anything "exotic"!
