Beautiful architecture and a serene setting belies the sign indicating that between 1942 and 1944 there were 140 school age children from the 2ième arrondissement who were murdered at Auschwitz.

ReplyDeleteWe had an amazing program last night at the Alliance Francaise d'Atlanta sharing the story of Helene Berr and her diary. It presented another perspective from a very young woman living in Paris during the German occupation.
