Église Saint-Séverin
Built and rebuilt over the centuries, this 13th-15th century Flamboyant Gothic church shows at its height the criss-crossed and ribbed vaulting which frame the stained glass windows of the same period.
Although I have been here four or five times,
I discover another secret on each visit.
The history of the church site began in the 5th century
and continued through fires, wars, and an abundance of burials.
The organ, seen in the background, was built by Jean Ferrand (1748)
and has a history as rich as the church itself.

Really nice shot...
Une très jolie photo... Des petites informations intéressantes.
Gros bisous et bonne journée
An awesome church it is and your capture is wonderful! Amazing history for the organ! Hope you have a great week ahead, Genie!

This is such a beautiful church -- I've never been to this one. I can see why you return!
There really are some amazing churches in France with masses of restoration over the years. This is another beauty. Have a good week Diane
The thing I love most about this church is the abundance of light. (I also love the way you composed this shot.) Bon dimanche, Genie --
Fantastic angle!! Love the organ in the background!
A fine photograph of a very nice tall church.
I saw a show on Yorkminster the other day. It had a ceiling similar to this one Genie. The priest suggested it represented the inverted hull of a ship symbolic for carrying all those within on a journey through life from here to eternity.
I think you picked the perfect angle for this photo. Lovely!
Perfect exposure in this shot.
There are so many churches to visit in Paris. All have their own beauty.
