Un jardin secret

2012 Oct 4 Thursday_225DSC_8317

A secret garden

Just off rue de la Roquette behind a closed gate is a hidden artists' atelier,
filled with the sounds of wood planers and the scent of paint.

The paved courtyard provides light into the glassed workshops
and serves as a quiet spot amid the work

Bonsoir Genie. What a wonderful place you found! One of the things I love the most in crazy busy Paris, is how sometimes, you can find magical places like these when you least expect it... Hope all is well in Alabama. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

It would be great to see some of the work produced in this inspirational location.

Beautiful and restful in daylight ... Bet it looks magical at night when those gold and blue globe lights are lit! What a find!

Cozy little spot to take a breather from "artwork." I was wondering if the pink and blue bottles are a French version of the Southern bottle tree. :-) Then again, one of them looks like it has a cup or a candle down in it. Did you have an opportunity to check them out for a close-up look?

The bottles have candles and I can only imagine spending time at twilight seated at a table with artists!

Joe, I may be able to satisfy your curiosity...

Veronique, I do love the quiet places in Paris. Yes, all is well in Alabama and I am glad to finally be here again (for a few weeks!)

Peter, bien sûr! Merci, mon ami!

Bises,
Genie
