La Palette
The rainy day refuge was a photographer's delight
as we enjoyed the classic French fare and a glass of bubbly.
The weather provided the drama.
Il pleuvait des cordes!
(It was raining cats and dogs - loosely translating here,
but I am sure that you know some other French expressions
for an abundance of rain)

ReplyDeleteLooks like you found a perfect cozy spot to ride out les chat et chiens —clearly, you are a "Champagne flute half full" kind of gal!
ReplyDeleteRomantic lighting ...Love it!
ReplyDeleteIn all our trips to Paris, I've never seen it rain more than a slight sprinkle.
ReplyDeleteI love the used palettes on the wall.
ReplyDeleteGenie, I love this café on rue de Seine. It's a very popular place and almost always too crowded for me but I remember a cold winter morning several years ago. I was out taking pictures and needed two things: to get my hands warn and to change film. La Palette has a real old time Paris feel to it. I had a grog au rhum, changed film in my camera and went back out, inspired by the ambiance of the café and no doubt enhanced by the grog! Thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this shot!!!!
ReplyDeleteBises,
