The website for this colorful-terrace is based in the same bright magenta, purple, red that you see here. There were few patrons enjoying this sunny morning, but I would imagine a full terrace for déjeuner would be expected. It sits at the corner of Rue Paul Cezanne, and is only a stone's throw from Avenue Myron Herrick.
Herrick (1854-1929) was the Governor of Ohio and subsequently the American Ambassador to France. It is interesting that he is the only American Ambassador to have a street named after him in Paris. Herrick was the ambassador who hosted Charles Lindbergh in Paris after
his successful New York to Paris Atlantic crossing in 1927.
(A little historical tidbit for the week)

Breakfasts in such places , in the morning sun, are simple but great pleasures!
ReplyDeleteLove the chairs.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely it would be to pull up a chair and enjoy an outdoor breakfast in the sun admiring your wonderful city.

ReplyDeleteAlways good to get tidbits from Paris! Thanks for the kind words this morning Genie, you know this is exactly how I feel about your views of Paris oui. Bon weekend mon amie :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful spot for lunch in the sunshine! And i love the magenta. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors—and interesting info! (Were you in the area for the church or the museum or no particular reason?)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely place to sit.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cold day, wearing a leather jacket in the summertime.
ReplyDeleteStefan, this was a late April photo, but from what I have seen of late, spring and summer have been a bit reluctant in Paris.
ReplyDeleteAlexa, we started with pastries at Julien, then the church, and finally wandered to Parc de Monceau, snapping everything along the way.
There are so many options for Paris cafés and it is amazing to imagine all the color combinations!
Bon weekend to all!
Bises,
Genie
The cafes you photograph always look inviting Genie. It's always been a great place to chill out, and the city is making it's way back up my list of places to revisit!
