Livres - Rue de Seine

2012 Oct 6 P1010947

Bookstores in Paris are full of treasures:

stacks and stacks of beautiful books, some to be read
and some just to be enjoyed.

This store is not much larger than you see right here,
filled to the ceiling.

  3. Personally, as much as I love bookstores these little shops, and there are hundreds of them, scare me. The books are piled high and there is barely room to move. In fact, some of them, like the one just off rue Dagurre don't even allow you to go in, Picturesque maybe but for browsing and buying the book fair every weekend at Bransion or the major stores are at least as much fun.

  7. And it smells heavenly in there, I'm sure. I love the musty smell of an old bookstore.

  9. I adore a good bookshop -- I could fall in and never come out! (Of course, all those books could fall on me, too -- but it beats an earthquake!)
