Église Saint-Aignan de Chartres
This church, established in 400 AD,
sits almost unnoticed in a ville known for its great cathedral.
A bit neglected, it is majestic in its own way,
filled with colors of turquoise, coral, and gold.
bon dimanche

ReplyDeleteShe is so inviting ... you can almost feel the warmth of her arms around you. Beautiful photo. Yes, there were other lovely churches in Chartres ... wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteUne photo qui dégage beaucoup de douceur...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous à toi ma chère Génie.
She is beautiful. There is so much emotion in the frame and sculpture, the shape of her head, the tilt of the neck. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Genie! Reminds me a bit of the lovely little church on Mont St. Michel that has to live in the shadow of the abbey. Bon dimanche, ma chère.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the movement in the sculpture. Terrific.
ReplyDeleteles statues de cette époque sont magnifiques dans les mouvements donnés aux vêtements et les postures des personnages.
