Montmartre - être un observateur

Two café chairs...
one for sitting, and the other for...

Just outside the café on the warm terrace,
this young man watched the pedestrians taking a Sunday stroll.

Was he waiting for a friend, for a sweetheart?  We will never know.

  5. Hmmm. The casual position, relaxed into the shoulders with one arm resting yet securing the second chair. The slightly eager gaze to the right with perhaps the hint of a grin suggest a touch of anticipation. The sunglasses combined with the slightly formal jack hanging on the back of the chair suggest a man prepared for all occasions day or night. I think he is waiting for someone and wants to impress. 7. Genie, the play of light in this photo is beautiful. It looks like he's on a stage in the center spotlight just waiting for the leading lady to make her entrance and take her place in the chair beside him. Love the windy hairdo, too!

  24. Interesting interpretation of the theme, Genie. I laughed when I noticed that there is a black rectangle lined up with his eyes . . . kind of like binoculars attached to his sunglasses.

  29. A 'he'?! My first thought was that it was a 'she' [and, an attractive one at that]. LOL The vignette works very well with this image. Well done!
