Wow. What a show stopper of a window display. I really admire the creativity and dedication which went into its design and construction. Very impressive.
Yes, the animals are made of ribbons, this large giraffe made of gros-grain ribbon. It is a bit of a permanent installation as Vreni just saw (and photographed) this recently. My photo was taken in January 2012.
Starman, I would think that it was a major project with participation by more than one artist/creator
Duncan, giraffes are a favorite of mine as well.
I think that the addition of the "disco balls" is just fine.
Genie, I am touched by your compliment, although I am sure other artists have used the same techniques, but it was so kind of you to say so. Thank you so much Genie. Your visits are always a joy to me. bisous!
Wouldn't you think Genie, that if the artists went to all that work of creating something like this, that they would love for people to take photo's...Very nice piece of 'bow work'!
Beautiful!! Love your capture! I, too, wonder if the artists who have gone to so much work wouldn't be happy to have the efforts recognized and enjoy seeing people taking photos!! But whatever, they're delightful! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend, Genie!
Oh Genie!
