Église Saint-Louis des Invalides
Today is Epiphany, twelve days after Christmas in the Gregorian calendar, marking the end of the Christmas season. It is also commonly known as Three Kings' Day, Twelfth Night, or the Feast of Epiphany. It is one of the oldest Christian feasts and has been celebrated since the end of the second century.
Today I will be making a galette des rois for my family
and will share the recipe with you tomorrow.
bon dimanche

I miss eating the galette des rois. Can't wait either for your recipe!
ReplyDeleteI always love it when you focus in on a detail like this, Genie. Sometimes it's hard to see the trees for the forest, so to speak, but you always manage both beautifully!
ReplyDeleteLe faisceau Romain. Il fut bien mal utilisé par la suite.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo Genie - must admit I have not heard of the galette des rois so am very interested in seeing the end product - will you post a pic?
ReplyDeleteBon dimanche !
ReplyDeleteLovely as always! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful picture. How clever of you to make a galette des rois! I hope we get to see a picture of the results.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, look at my Saturday post for a sample photo. I will be posting my recent creation in a few days along with a more French recipe. I have made both and with the basic ingredients it is hard to go wrong!
ReplyDeleteM, I would put a candle on it for your birthday!
Alain, merci pour le mot
