Palais Garnier - les danseuses de Noël



These graceful ballerinas dance under the Christmas tree of Palais Garnier's gift shop.  
What a view of the icy street below.


These handcrafted papier-mâché dolls are illuminated with the flick of a switch.


Palais Garnier is one of my favorite places in Paris,
 for the architecture, the music, the ballets and operas, the history, and...
the Phantom.

  4. I love these ballerinas! I also photographed them last year :-) When I first entered the awesome Palais Garnier I immediately thought of the Phantom of the Opera.

  15. A wonderful Paris Christmas photo. I saw the interior of the Opera Garnier for the first time this past October --- what opulence!!!! Splendiferous!
