Marché d'Aligre - fromagerie

The old covered market of Marché d'Aligre
has many stalls selling cheese, fish, produce, oils, flowers, and more

I stopped here for a sample and bought
une tranche de fromage

  7. Hi Genie,

Nice photo. I love my cheese but it's rarely found in Malaysia. People don't like it over here!

  17. Now I can't wait to get home and have some cheese! If only it could be the real (i.e., Parisien) thing, with real French bread. Sigh.

  19. Paris was wonderful, exciting and full of surprises and stories. Its weather kept us guessing but only prevented one planned event: Nuit Blanche

We met old friends and new ones, explored six churches I had not previously visited, and rode the Vélibs.

The style for petite French children is light gray and pink, tights with jumpers or skirts, and swing coats. They really do walk two-by-two as in the Madeleine stories.

Église St Roch rings its bells beginning at 8am through 7pm which can be heard clearly from the apt just across the narrow street. The 8am and 7pm rings: 8 bells, 8 bells, 3 bells, 3 bells, 3 bells, and then 47 bells (yes, I said 47). I wonder if anyone can tell me the significance of the 47.

We had a party at our apartment (l'apéro) which was a great gathering. I may even post a photo or two.

I have eaten my weight in cheese and baguettes but walked/cycled it off before leaving Paris.

Thank you for all the comments which I read each day.

    Bises,
    Genie
