Magic Flowers

Magic Flowers!

I am often surprised to see English names on Paris businesses,
particularly when it would be more enticing written in French.

Nevertheless, this gentleman is poised to make a purchase of flowers,
perhaps with plans for a bit of magic

  1. I agree with you about the English name on a Paris business, Genie, but I guess if the gentleman gets what he needs that's all that is important! Lots of beautiful plants and flowers! Hope you have a great week!

  2. Yes, strange, that English name on a Paris shop. Cosmopolitan? International? Who knows?

  3. The entrance could be filled with lots of flowers... that would make it more magical.

    Perhaps the owner is English?

  4. Thanks to the signage, I had to look twice to be sure I was on your blog, Genie. ;) The selection of plants outside doesn't look typical of what I'd expect to see in Paris, either. Don't be surprised if it's vanished into thin air next time you're walking past ~ maybe there really is magic afoot!

  10. I remember Happy Flowers in Paris and thought the English seemed out of place too. I agree with Shell, these aren't the usual posies you see outside of the flower shops, maybe he is walking into a magical garden inside!

  11. Seems peculiar to me using an English name for a French flower shop. I agree with you Genie, a french name would be more enticing written in French :) Nevertheless, I think that gentleman has love on his mind. :)

  13. Paris flower shops are magic in any language, if you ask me (though I'd prefer the name in French too)!

  14. This is surprising to me, too. Amsterdam is even more extreme. There are many major street signs in English with just a little Dutch sign below.

  17. I could use some Magic Flowers right now... pooped from travel and I leave again on Saturday. To answer your question, no I am not going back to Paris (yet)... I would not need any Magic Flowers if that were the case!

    Have a great week, all!

    Bises,
    Genie
