This is fabulous. And what a wonderful place to walk. Speaking of which, i must do a lot tomorrow to make up for what i didn't do today! Too much sitting. Not enough walking. My husband is quite a football fan, and i joined in and watched. For too long. LOL A no-no. Love this pic, Genie! :)
I am in love with this shot, dear Genie...please, oh please, come out with a book!! :))) What a treat to see your message! I, too, usually make banana bread with sour cream (Martha's recipe), so I was curious about this variation..it was scrumptious! Merci encore, and I wish you a glorious week, chere amie... Bisous, - Irina
Hello Genie: The central figure looks so interesting. Could we not all weave some tale about him and, of course, to where he is headed? Such a very clever shot and all in monochrome which adds to the intrigue.
Thank you all for your comments on my gentleman today, and I will let you in on a little secret. This photo is just what my camera saw that day. I almost cropped out the young lady on the right. In color her hair is a beautiful red and her dress is shades of lavender and purple. In color she was too pretty and distracting from my main character, but in black and white she just seemed to be a part of the story, walking in opposition to Monsieur.
You do get some great captures! Love this B&W! Hope you had a good weekend!

Wonderful photo! Happy you made it to Chartres!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect picture for black and white. The solid black of the suit against the grey tones in the balance of tho photo provides a great focal point.
ReplyDeleteHe told his story, performed his chivalrous duty, and then went on his way ...
ReplyDeleteVraiment superbe cette photo !!!

Genie,
ReplyDeleteHe looks rather dapper in his black hat and coat strolling down the street. Do people still wear a lot of black in Paris these days? :)
