The photo background of this Paris shop window
was almost as colorful as the featured shoe.
I hope that you will be stepping out in style this weekend
but be careful if you are wearing these shoes.
They look a bit precarious.

Oh my, if I tried to wear these my legs would become so entangled that I would fall flat on my face! HA They are really pretty though! :)
ReplyDeletePrecarious is the word!! Great shot as always, Genie! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Sensory overload!
ReplyDeletehih... strange (and special) shoes. How do they walk properly, as I can not find the heel at all ...
ReplyDeleteI wonder how those things would look on a Bear.
ReplyDeleteBon weekend, Genie.
After having seen this shoe it will be a great pleasure for me to put on my flattest sandals...
ReplyDeleteMy, what an exuberant shoe! Its joie de vivre is well on display. Bon weekend, dear Genie.
ReplyDeleteOne would certainly cause a stir in these babies. But tread carefully. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy, colourful photo.
You can sit with your feet up with these.
ReplyDeleteNot for me...but I like the colors!
ReplyDeleteThe word I would use is dangerous! Still, fun to look at and think about. Even in my heyday, I would never have attempted this. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's why they call it "Haute couture"! Too high for me! :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat colors...and imagination!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, chere Genie...
Hope you're having a colorful weekend!
Bises,
- Irina
Hi Genie, Wow! Do you think that they are meant for wearing, or are they ART? I can not imagine the balance and the pain it would take to carry that style off.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you like my shabby bucket. The best thing about this project is that my dear sweet husband is no longer ruining my dishtowels, now when he needs a rag, he knows right where to find it. :)
Thank you for stopping by . . .
I love your visits. Connie :)
Not for mums. That said, I'm sure Victoria Beckham would give them a try. My legs ache just looking at them.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide whether Giuseppe Z is a creative genius or a sadistic monster. :~} I'm wearing my (very flat) red Toms at the moment, and my feet are quite happy.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a bon weekend, Genie!
You should have stopped in asked to try them on...with friends nearby to hold on to!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Genie, the shoe doesn't come in my size. But thank you for asking.
ReplyDeleteI would buy tickets to see someone walk in these shoes Genie.
ReplyDeleteNot me! ohhhhhh

Ohhh, pretty, but not for me! Thanks for visiting Selma through my blog. We are getting plenty of rain tonight for those window fish to swim in the streets!
ReplyDeleteI almost did not post these as they are "only shoes" and fall a bit short, but they are so exotic!
ReplyDeleteOrvokki, simply stated... there is NO heel, and one relies on the balance of weight over the ball of the foot to keep one upright.
Shoes like these have a special nomer and I will spare you that. However, I would say that these shoes would be great for making an appearance at a coctail party where one might be seated with ankles crossed for the remainder of the evening.
Janey, we should always carry a spare pair of shoes when we expect that we will not be walking... You never know!
Perhaps these shoes should be displayed in the home like a sculpture or blown glass vase, never to be worn, only to be admired as art.
Thanks for all the fun and funny comments!
Bises,
Genie
I would definitely wear those shoes this summer! I'd teeter around happy as can be in those and some white shorts. I'm pretty sure I'd scare les villagers though :)
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious me. I would love to think that it is just for decoration, but I realize that some people are actually really wearing this, to the great joy of the local surgeons!
ReplyDeleteI think that only Parisians can and know how to use these shoes. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for your explanation.
I couldn't wear them Genie, but it doesn't stop me admiring them as a work of art and I would so love to see a gorgeous young thing wearing them.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted this picture Genie, what extraordinary shoes. I can't imagine standing in them let alone walking... even if they did have a heel.
ReplyDeleteApparently, he designs for drag queens!
ReplyDeleteOh la la ... Mais non pour moi!
ReplyDeleteOften when I see women's shoes, I'm after all happy I'm a man! :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh my!!! I'm glad I'm old enough to wear sensible (yet attractive) shoes!!! I've worn a platform or two and these are over the top!!!
