The narrow Romanian Orthodox Church is almost invisible from the street
but the interior is rich with golds and royal blue.
The altar sits like a bejeweled crown
dwarfed by the tall stained glass windows of the apse.
For a small space there is much detail to absorb.
bon dimanche

ReplyDeleteMagnificent Genie. If anyone was touring the churches of Paris they could visit your blog and click the "Churches of Paris" tag and what a wealth of information they would find.

ReplyDeleteAnother lovely church. Perfect for a quite meditation.
ReplyDeleteThe gold detail above the outside door is eyecatching, but when you enter this small space, you are overwhelmed by the beauty and detail. I would not speak above a whisper even though Holly and I were the only ones present. I was so glad to see it open and then amazed at the exquisite interior.
ReplyDeleteI have made a connection with another photographer since my first post and hope to bring you a very special story about an event in this church.
May you all have a wonderful week ahead.
Bises,
Genie
