Dansez!
The Repetto window on Rue de la Paix is always on my list...
This display in white gives the illusion of petals being blown from a delicate flower.

Oh, jolie, cette vitrine! Bravo, Genie. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display! The Repetto windows are always worth a visit.
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary window. It took a lot of work to put that together.
ReplyDeleteI do find the reflection distracting — making it difficult to see what you were picturing. But I think I can view enough to "get the drift" of what the creator has been doing.
Hello Genie:
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely magical. When in London we have always found the window displays of Selfridge's department store equally inspirational.
OMG what's not to love about this photo? The reflections are awesome and their display is one of their best! Makes want to put on my toe shoes and tutu and just float away! Bisous chère amie.
ReplyDeleteI love this display, someone is very creative. Love it
ReplyDeleteI can see why. It's enchanting! Is this also near Montmartre?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The window in Paris are always magical.
ReplyDeletesuperbe vitrine vraiment,aerient ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat certainly is a beautiful window.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely window...I used to dance...dreamed of being a teacher when I was young.
ReplyDeleteAh Paris.
do they always have such a gorgeous display ? not that I am dreaming of wearing ballerina stuff ... just to make sure
ReplyDeleteGosh, Genie-
ReplyDeleteI see the floating leaves landing into the Ballet Tutu on our dancer.
Gorgeous window display! I love the tutu on the ballerina. So cool!
ReplyDeleteI really think that some of the people who do window displays are true artists. This vignette certainly is a work of art!
ReplyDeleteMy first impression was pigeons swooping down in a feeding frenzy.
ReplyDeleteI love the display and the reflections!
ReplyDeleteRepetto NEVER lets one down n'est-ce pas?
ReplyDeleteV
Melissa, no it is not near Montmartre but on Rue de la Paix near Palais Garnier (Paris Opera). I know that there is another smaller boutique in Paris as well as an outlet.
ReplyDeleteRoseann, I love this "other interpretation" of the window... With the leaves floating onto the tutu!
I met with my dear friend Virginia in Birmingham tonight - we only live five hours apart, but we see more of each other in Paris than in Alabama... Tant pis
Starman, I agree that the reflection is distracting but regardless of the time of day, I have always found a reflection
The window designers are amazing and I always hold my breath as I turn the corner onto Rue de la Paix... What treat is in store for me in the window of Repetto this time!
Bises,
Genie
very pretty and poetic!
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that being a window dresser would be a lovely occupation. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love it when you show the Repetto window Genie, must find out if there's anywhere in Perth that you can buy the flats, there surely must be! Such a pretty image.
ReplyDeleteParis really does have the most imaginative windows!!!
