Bar de l'Echelle - café en rose foncé

Although this café terrace is not in a traditional color scheme, I was tempted to have a seat with my bright orange coat and multi-colored scarf just to make a fashion statement.

Often in Paris it is necessary to stand out from the other twenty cafés that line the street.
I would say that De l'Echelle has found one way.

  4. Hello Genie:
We absolutely 'go' for this which surely provides a little added interest to the normal street scene, if such is required. We have been trying to persuade some friends to paint the furniture on their terrace pink, but so far without success!

  5. This cafe is certainly outstanding in the strictest sense of the word? For some reason I don't associate pink with Paris, which I'm sure is one reason it's successful.

    What about some coffee now?

  13. Well it's a little to "pank" as my momma use to say! :) That said, your orange coat would be smashing with the tables.

  15. Their "Pink" theme is wasted on me. If you hadn't told us, I would never have known. Color blind, you know.

  21. Love the comments today from "pank" chairs and Coco quotes to craving ice cream and color blindness. (I am sorry, Starman)

I do think that on my next trip to Paris, I will have to sit at this café in striking contrast to these tables and wait for my friends to joint me. See you at the terrace with the pink tables!
