Hello Genie: How strange that today's image should feature a boat on the river. Only yesterday we had a day out by train to Esztergom where we sat by the Danube, very wide at that point, and looked towards Slovakia on the opposite bank and watched as a river cruise boat, the first we have seen this season, made its way downstream.
The red and turquoise colors are eye-catching. No boat plans but it would be nice to be on either Lake Michigan or Superior today, altho it's a mite chilly for that activity.
Yes, our weekend plans involve a boat... We will be sailing near Seattle on a gorgeous spring day this afternoon... Great shot, Genie. Following la Seine sur une peniche would not be bad either! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
I would like to be there, too. You asked about how I got my name. Mother and daddy tried 3 times to have a boy. I was the third, they said NO MORE and named me Eugenia Hornot. Daddy’s name was Eugene Marseilles Hornot. He was born in New Orleans and was first generation US born. I loved his name do much I named my third child after him....Eugene Marseilles Hornot Robinson. Guess it is pretty obvious I am of my French heritage. Daddy spoke French fluently. the other genie
Ah, I would love a little boat time -- anywhere! Great shot, Genie! Have a wonderful weekend!

And I just stepped ashore from a ship on the Rhine. Such a wonderful way to see the beautiful scenery...I'd like to be on that boat too!
