Les lanternes

In the Marché aux Fleurs I found this collection of lanterns
suspended from the greenhouse roof.
I dreamed that I had the two in front for large candles on my Paris terrace.

Un aperitif?

  2. These would make perfect souvenirs to bring back with you, but how would they fit inside a suitcase? Nope. For Paris use only I guess. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

  3. They look great! I prefer the more "extravagant" lanterns in the background ;-)

  4. Hello Genie:
We think that you will need to get to them before we do!! These are all wonderful, and they look especially good displayed together in this way. We should have no difficulty placing any of them!

  6. Wonderful! My parents have a large collection (not AS large as in this picture!) of vintage lanterns hanging in the roof of their glass-porch and some have electricity, some have fairylights in them and some have candles, it is divine in the evenings....

  14. Excellent idea—an aperitif by lantern-light on your Paris terrace! Sigh. I think that will have to be a very large terrace to hold all of us, Genie.
