OK, we win - we will be there all of May. Join us. It's my wife's 60th birthday. I said Paris or diamonds. She said both and I said, non-non, so its Paris. Yes Genie - the waiters are cute.
you've sent us on a virtual journey to this delightful moment. we are sitting just beside you, adjusting our scarves and waiting for this young waiter to turn his attention to us.
I don't think that you are the only one who would like to be in Paris right now. Like the B&W with this photo. Never gave much thought to the attractiveness of waiters; perhaps I'll notice more now, but maybe it's just Paris waiters?
hello Genie -- have to start catching up again -- sigh -- Another gem for your portfolio!! We don't have to travel to Paris ourselves -- we just peruse your wonderful gallery.
One of my favorite activities in Paris, is to watch irate American tourists (which the gentleman with the paper obviously isn't) jump up and leave in a huff because the waiter didn't rush over and "introduce" himself.
Yes I would love to be there! Great photo Genie.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful weekend.
fondly,
Penny
Count me in! I would love to be there, too! Terrific capture as always, Genie! Enjoy!

Great shot...throw in a little pastis on the side...
ReplyDeleteI want to be there, too!!! "Les Philosophes", I guess?

ReplyDeleteI think it's their attire --- crisp white shirts, vests and long aprons .... Looks and attitudes don't hurt either ;)

ReplyDeleteI have to agree, this guy made for the perfect shot.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that they are more often than not, young males?
ReplyDeletemoi aussi !
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind sitting next to the gentleman either! :)

Me too!
ReplyDeleteDon't regret it too much, it's chilly and grey! You may have to sit inside! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think a high percentage of them seem to be very appealing young men Genie, and also they look so handsome in an apron haha!
ReplyDeleteI think it's the long apron Genie!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course...the fact that he's good looking doesn't factor in at all!!!
Yes photogenic, I also like the motion captured. Its kind of routine, but with b/w and an interesting composition becomes attractive!
ReplyDeletePeople watching in Paris... a great pastime :-)
