Le Saint Médard Café - Paris friend

After a delightful Sunday lunch in January, I encountered this friendly gentleman as he prepared deux express with the enviable Cafés Richard machine, gleaming of chrome.  After a brief exchange about visitors and Paris, he agreed to a photo, and I will be taking a print to him when I return, bien sûr!

So, now I long for a Cafés Richard expresso/cappuccino machine along with the CR cups.
I can taste that coffee still!

  1. There's nothing quite as restorative as an excellent cup of coffee! That's a very impressive machine, I think he will be highly delighted to have featured on your blog Genie. I thought of doing a barista course once, but decided it was much more pleasant to sit and drink coffee than have the pressure of making it perfectly!!

  2. Another warm and smiling face ~ I'm sure the coffee is extra-delicious when someone happy like this is making it. He'll be very chuffed when you return with a print, Genie.

  15. Tom, it is indeed a small world and yet halfway around the world we have encountered the same friendly Parisian... and the enviable (bien sûr) Cafés Richard machine.
