Un petit garçon en rouge

Just before walking into the Basilique de Notre-Dame des Victoires,
I sensed a movement out of the corner of my eye.

Looking up to the left in this premier étage window,
I saw this little child actually licking the window.
By the time I could swing my lens his way,
he was looking wistfully down at the street
to the older children in the Place des Petits-Pères.
The church façade is reflected in the large windows.

  1. Dear Genie, this is really a brilliant picture. Just "a day in the life of"... so very innocent, melancholy, and beautiful.
I want to give that little one a hug and make him smile! :)
    Bon weekend, sweet friend..

  13. I'll bet if you returned in 18 years and told him what you saw, he'd be mortified.

  15. I love it! I bet he thought the window tasted pretty good! I remember when mine were that age and the crazy things they did/tasted/felt/ate/drank! And they all grew up healthy!!! Priceless capture, Genie! Enjoy your weekend!
