The shopping in Paris is "the cat's meow"
and Oskar enjoyed visiting the Longchamp boutique before he returned to the USA.
(Oskar is my travel kitty, given life by brattcat
and named for our first Paris apartment cat
and LaPouyette's Oskar who is recovering from an accident.)
Oskar has great taste. Is this the Longchamp boutique rue St. Honoré. I have made many happy purchases there over the years! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeletemy daughter loves these bags - we gave her one for christmas - ooh lala!
ReplyDeleteI'm so not hip. I see Longchamp and think of the race track, not a handbag. Is Oskar related to the Travelocity gnome?
ReplyDeleteBear has no use for handbags by anyone, and thinks that cats make a furry snack.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I desperately need to hibernate.
A la prochaine, Génie.
I have a small teddy that I take with me everywhere I go and picture when I'm travelling! But my Ned(its name) never dared to be pictured in a luxury shop!:o)
ReplyDeleteOskar is very sweet, Genie! I'm smitten with your travel kitten. And what a beautiful idea. I hope you're having a lovely weekend. Bisous.
ReplyDeleteI at first thought of the racetrack, too. I think Oskar is cute. I have a traveling companion, Radovan, who has appeared on some of my posts.
ReplyDeleteI want to be Oskar!
ReplyDeletearen't you just the cat's meow. thank you for the bigga, bigga smile. i'll be wearing it all day and wishing, like m, that i could be oskar.
ReplyDeleteOskar was a great travel kitty - enjoying all the sights and never complaining. Love this photo of him shopping...ahhh Longchamp!
ReplyDeleteOskar looks like he is taking a deserved rest. You must really tire him out, genie!
ReplyDeleteOskar is a lucky duck...I mean cat!
ReplyDeleteI was in Paris this past Fall. Every third woman was carrying a Longchamp purse...Young & Old!
Don't have a LOngchamp purse, but do have a scarf as a souvenir from my very trip to Paris.
ReplyDeleteDid Brattcat knit Oskar --- did he make an appearance on her blog; he looks very familiar.
Well, at least you will never be lonely in Paris!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of Longchamp purses but never really knew what they looked like and from the looks of this window, I couldn't afford one either. LOL Shame...purses are the death of me. Some women love shoes and some "(like me) can't get enough purses! LOL
What a charming traveling companion Brattcat has created for you, Genie! And so much cuddlier and easier to transport than a garden gnome. :~}
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bags! Oskar is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThat Oskar knows a good handbag when he sees it!
ReplyDeleteV
Oh that's too cute Genie, what a lucky little travel companion Oskar is, just the right size to fit in your handbag !!
ReplyDeleteVeronique, this boutique was at CDG which was great for a last minute purchase.
ReplyDeleteOscar was created by brattcat, and if you click the link in the post it will take you to her post where she shows the step-by-step photos of Oskar's "birth."
I have always had a travel animal and "Kitty" has turned over the journeys to Oskar as "Kitty" retires at home. Oskar has many new adventures to anticipate and he really likes to get his Passport stamped!
Bises,
Genie
I don't think I will be French, until I have a Longchamp bag.
