When I met up with my Paris friend, Isabelle, in November, we walked to the park where she once lived. The cloistered park cannot be seen from the main street (Rue Pernety), but had a walking trail, a playground, little garden plots, and much more which I will show you on another day.

A paris avoir un jardin est si délicieux... celui-ci est savamment gardé par cet épouvantail...

Alors, Genie, tu t'amuses bien à Paris?! - -Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteTo live in Paris and have a garden!!! Now thats plain greedy! Love it. x
ReplyDeleteThe French are blessed not to have destructive possums in their gardens! Had to smile at the creative scarecrow.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards
ah, what an enchanting little garden.
ReplyDeleteLove the scarecrow. Sounds like a great place to live near.
ReplyDeleteAnd the garden is waiting for Spring! Great capture!

Looks typically winter desolate.
ReplyDeleteA garden en plein Paris—what a treat! In this locale, I'd be tempted to dress the épouvantail in vintage couture from the flea market. :~}
ReplyDeletealors, only the french would have such a chic scarecrow ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for you comments today... Holly (and Oskar) and I made our way from CDG on the RER train, getting off at Chatelet and walking past St. Eustache to our apartment, just between Place des Victoires and Palais Royale.
ReplyDeleteWe met Virginia and Mary just around the corner at Bistrot Victoires, along with Peter (Olsen). We enjoyed a lunch of tartines (avec Poilane bread) for a very reasonable price...
We walked the remainder of the afternoon taking many photos, and after a trip to Monoprix, greeted Isabelle at the apartment for a light dinner.
I will write about our adventures tomorrow and all that we have seen and done... Not much time for sleeping!
