Ah, you can indeed! And our weather outside is frightful -- well, I'm probably just a chicken when it comes to weather these days! Beautiful capture, Genie, as always!
If this dreamy window display is, indeed, by Chanel, I am certainly glad Karl Lagerfeld is nowhere in sight. He might have ruined it all! [Didn't they have a whole window full of miniature Karls this year?!] Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Ah, spring is around the corner and it can't come too soon for me. I'm not a cold weather person. I can almost hear the song "It might as well be spring."
I love the colors and the myriad of textures (from the gauzy dress to the dried grass) ... absolutely dreamy. Only reinforces the fact that I have to get to Paris in time to see the Christmas windows someday ... merci Genie for bringing me a taste of them!
Malyss, I just added GALAF to my off-beat French vocabulary... merci!
Brittany, I am in Mobile with temperatures requiring the use of our air conditioner, but I think that the temps in Paris are seasonably cool, but certainly not frightful. I will be returning to Paris in a few weeks and will give an update!
Veronique, I am with you! This is a Chanel window with all its elegance and luxury... not a snarky face to be seen!
The weather outside is delightful, very sunny and warm so ......"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas". May the peace and joy of Christmas be with you and your family in 2012. Bisous
Merry Christmas from the warmer climate of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida

The french really know how to do windows. I miss that here in my town. This has lots of textures and elegance. Really beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI prefer the colder temperatures. Nice shot though.
ReplyDeleteIt sure doesn't look like a December window display.
