The Métro sign at Hotel de Ville and the Christmas lights of BHV (Bay Aash Vay)
are as colorful as the double-decker carrousel.
The full moon had some serious competition this night
BHV (Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville)
Métro Hotel de Ville
Rue de Rivoli et Rue de Lobau
75004 Paris
It looks like a sort of Disney Paris :-)
ReplyDeleteParis s'illumine pour les fêtes de fin d'année...
ReplyDeleteBelle journée,
Pierre
Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville (B.H.V.)The pace where you're supposed to find absolutely EVERYTHING. When I was a kid, it was the cavern of Ali BAba for me!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours - fantastic pic!
ReplyDeleteAlmost as much neon as Vegas! Love the colors! I think I would like to check out BHV --- from Malyss's description, it sounds like a very interesting place to try to take some stealth photos.
ReplyDeleteNice shot Genie. Also great color composition. Like it
ReplyDeletesuch a pleasing composition, genie.
ReplyDeleteAh! BHV!
ReplyDeleteNot a fancy store like Galeries Lafayette, but where one goes to find les trucs!
Tip: the Bon Marche, oldest of the department stores, is famous for it's fabulous windows decoration on Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteBHV famous letters in Belgium.; Bruxelles Halle Vilvoorde or a county or something like it over which our politicians have been fighting for years. (trying to divide it .. a part for the French, one for the Flemish and the rest for the Brussels folks) .. but that is a totally different story.. I like the shop in Paris (a much easier statement).
ReplyDeleteWell, you certainly couldn't miss this sign. LOL
ReplyDeleteMay your have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving, Genie.
Kris
It's such a beautiful yellow sign!I would love visiting this place!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition!
big bisous
Léia
such happy colors!
ReplyDeletehappy thanksgiving, genie, to you and yours♡
I went to BHV to see the Christmas lights - but they weren´t switched on. Quel dommage! But we´ve seen the windows of Printemps and the Galeries Lafayette! Check!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Brilliant colors! You sure got that yellow to pop out loud, didn't you. Stellar shot.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteNicely captured! J'adore BHV, don't you (especially the lower-level hardware store)?
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate to see some of the Christmas lights and windows in only the second week of November. My usual pattern would have me in Paris with daughter Holly the first week of December and I thought that I would miss them all. Fortunately, Vreni and I found them and thousands of children... "check!"
ReplyDeleteMalyss, thanks for the reminder of B.H.V. I had not remembered.
I was out on this night of the full moon hoping to capture another memorable moon over the Seine or the Louvre. Paris at night never disappoints!
Bises,
Genie
I love how the colors just pop!
