Peut-être française... Certainement excentrique... Ne passe pas inaperçue en tous cas! Bravo Genie! Une belle pièce à ajouter à ton tableau de chasse! - Veronique (French Girl in Seattle) PS: merci de ta visite aujourd'hui!
I'm saying French but I'm with Joe, this could be a faux pas. Leave the tights and knee britches at home, Keep the coat and scarf and honey, put on some nice black slacks and you're good to go! V
I'm not sure. If the photo stopped at the hem of her coat, she looks French. But since it doesn't, I would guess she's not. The bow on the britches distracts for one thing. To my eye the outfit doesn't look balanced and there's something about her shoes that feels wrong. Above all, too much pattern. Sam
Terrific capture as always, Genie, have to chuckle at all the comments -- the dog is adorable, the woman -- ???. Ah, well, whatever floats your boat, I guess! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
A bit matchy-matchy, IMHO. On the other hand, if you were a tourist who wanted to pass for une vrai Parisienne you'd probably do well to borrow un chien!
The pup is quite chic and might have even been seen last week at Westminster, but Madame should have chosen more wisely her attire below the knees... just saying...
I must admit I would have been a little distracted by the knee britches too Genie, It's certainly not something you expect to see. Love the look on the dogs face like.."what was she thinking!!"
She's... interesting. :) I like the scarf, but with the tights, not so much. But to each her own. We all have our own unique style. I love the shop window. So sparkly and fun, and her dog is adorable and well groomed! ;)

ReplyDeleteMatching stockings and scarfe... fashion statement or faux pas?
ReplyDeleteknee bridge ! did not know that they were "en vogue" again .. the dog does not seem to be very sure about the fashion statement...
ReplyDeleteLe style Leopard... Not my cup of tea!
ReplyDeletePerhaps something more for the sartorialist but a great capture it is. Thanks for showing
ReplyDeleteAt least she attracts attention, but fashionable....
ReplyDeleteNow here is a lady with a strong a character and enormous self-confidence.............
ReplyDeletebut is she really french?
ReplyDeleteThey CAUGHT my eye, for sure.

i don't know, i'm bemused. i thought about latina woman. xxx
ReplyDeleteI think this is either a fashion faux pas or a fashion misstatement! What a find, Genie!
ReplyDeleteWell she's certainly bold with fashion! Not sure if she's French though..
ReplyDeleteCute dog!

Wonderful capture, and the dog seems to be aware that he fits the color scheme perfectly! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe britches remind me of the Mozart impersonators trying to sell concert tickets here in Vienna.

Looks like a match to me.

ReplyDeleteThis thread is great to read with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning, :-).

ReplyDeleteIt's a little much if you ask me. But the dog is cute! :)
ReplyDeleteAlmost a cliche
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alexa...chic pup, but a bit overweight, and I don't think it's just his/her fur. So maybe he's not French either! ;)
ReplyDeleteExcellent scene. Love the window display.
ReplyDeleteYou were definitely on your toes to get this photo. Loved reading all the commentaries.... those 'leggins' are a bit much for me.
ReplyDeleteGuess she didn't get the memo about how ONE animal print accessory is enough! Ditch the leggings, keep the scarf - if you must.
ReplyDeleteThe dog is French, the woman? Hmmmmm. I could look at that beautiful dog all day.
ReplyDeleteWell, she actually looks American - or maybe other European to me, but let me say this - she had FUN dressing this day. And I'm for that!
ReplyDeleteFrench? I think not!
