Architecture reflections

The "old" reflected by the "new"

The straight lines of the modern box
provide a clean surface
for reflecting the century-old architecture.

-redeeming value-

bon weekend!

  3. It's like if the new architecture wanted to pay a tribute to the old one! Great shot!

  5. They are both beautiful in their own way Genie - The new has the straight clean lines - the old that wonderful sense of history and romantic style.

  10. You don't miss a trick, Genie!
Moi, je préfère l'ancien. Toi aussi, n'est-ce pas?

  11. Moi, je prefere les deux, l'ancien et la moderne. Toutes ensembles.

What a brava idee to take a photo and return with a copy for the subject of the picture. Such a thoughtful gift! I've done this before and it is always so welcome. Then later to return and find it hanging on the wall as a badge of honor is priceless.

And the angels all over and up above is a wonderful way to see Paris...avec les macarons aussi. I'm enjoying your blog Genie.

  12. Although I'm a fan of "The Old", I love the composition of this shot. Warm wishes.

  13. This is excellent, Genie. I have a modern/traditional reflection shot lined up, but it keeps getting bounced for a more current reflection shot.

  14. Its like looking out of a new window world into an old one. It seems strange.
