Paris Portrait -- Jeune Garçon
During the very cold days in early December, I got a shot of this handsome young fellow with hands and cheeks red from the frigid air. You might be interested to know that there is a story to this one and I will show you tomorrow. I am such a tease!Square TrousseauMétro Ledru Rollin(Is there a better title than "jeune garçon"?)
Beau portrait. J'attends la fin de l'histoire....
ReplyDeleteOhI like a little intrigue
ReplyDeleteMagnifique photo que tu as bien su saisir. Tout est réussi: le sujet, la netteté, la couleur. Bravo, Genie!
ReplyDeleteCute portrait, he looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful moment there!

"the red hands" or "A sunny smile" could be an other title! :) I'm wondering if he's looking at a spectale de marionettes... suspense is killing me! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely portrait, very nice captured!
ReplyDeleteA sweet photo of un petit garcon, indeed. Have a lovely day ~ xox Alexandra
ReplyDelete"Cold hands, warm heart" -- What a lovely portrait! His smile is precious and you can tell that he is having such fun that he doesn't feel the cold. Can't wait for the rest of the story! Bises, M
ReplyDeleteYou are a tease, cannot wait to hear/see the story!
ReplyDeleteTrès mignon would be mine to as my French is so limited!HA HE's adorable. Can't wait!

He is happy in the winter weather despite the cold snow on his hands.
ReplyDeleteIl est adorable! Can't wait to hear the "rest of the story...."
ReplyDeleteI just love this. I've really only been to Paris in the winter (and tail end of fall). I just love how the parents take their kids out to play in the gardens even though it's so cold out. It's so wonderful to watch.
ReplyDeleteIs that a huge snowball in his arms?
ReplyDeletei've been away from my computer for a few days and it's evident i missed so many incredible images! i want to paint every one, they are all just so amazing genie!
ReplyDeleteNice catch, Genie! Which looks like what he's about to do—but I guess I'll have to wait to find out.
ReplyDeleteHi Genie, thanks for your comments on my blog. I quote an email I received a few moments ago from NZ. 'Friends and family all accounted for, Christchurch will never look the same again.'
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking....
Genie... portrait photos are few and far between on your blog. It was worth the wait for this one. I always like to see kids having a good time. His hands and cheeks might look cold but kids don't feel it the same as adults. Keep on clicking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little boy. So adorable.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the 'rest of the story'.
ReplyDeleteSweet!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos on your blog; thank you for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteI'll be following your work and your city from today!

biebdriebels -- Merci... He was oblivious to my camera
Coco -- Merci, mon amie!
Marie -- He was definitely the "star" of this scene
Carol -- Yes, I am definitely a tease! See you tomorrow, my friend
Virginia -- Très mignon indeed!
Rob -- I think that the wet snow had frozen his hands...
Harriet -- Adorable and full of mischief...
Lucy -- For some reason children seem not to mind the cold. It probably has to do with all the running around...
Starman -- Yep, just about the biggest I've ever seen!
Suzanne -- Merci, mon amie artiste
Alexa -- I think that you are close to figuring this out!
Gringo -- Merci, and glad to hear that your friends and family are safe, my friend

Isabel -- Thank you and so glad that you like my view of Paris... welcome!
This young man does indeed look happy and a bit mischievous as well. Is he holding snow that he plans to use to pelt you??
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at Jack's comment about my comments re. trousers with a "full break" which he wears. I told him that he probably would look divine in them! Aren't these blogs wonderful when we get to know "strangers" so well?!
Reading a new book, "Paris Was Ours" ed by Penelope Rowlands which you might enjoy, if you haven't read it already.
Kate -- Yes, what friends we make here across the world! I have not read that book but will check into it... merci!
ReplyDeleteKate is right. I do look divine in my pants with a full break in them.
ReplyDeleteYou captured a cute lad. I am on tenterhooks, wondering what we will see tomorrow. Tease!
Jack -- Merci... tenterhooks? Now, who is the tease!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very cute portrait, Genie!
ReplyDeleteThis is about the age of my son when we lived there. He loves Paris and especially L'Entrecote and Leon's (for moules) and he has a favorite crepe stand in Place St. Augustin. He's 18 years old now.
